The Valley Park School District invites passionate, energetic, student-centered staff members to apply for the position of Technology Student Association Advisor (TSA).  The TSA Advisor plays a crucial role in guiding and supporting students who are passionate about technology and innovation. As the advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the TSA chapter, facilitating meetings, coordinating competitions, and mentoring students in various STEM-related projects.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:  

  1. Chapter Leadership: Lead and manage the high school's TSA chapter, ensuring adherence to TSA guidelines and objectives.

  2.  Student Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to students participating in TSA activities, helping them develop their technical skills and fostering a love for STEM fields.
  3. Competition Coordination: Organize and coordinate participation in TSA competitions at regional, state, and national levels, including logistics, registration, 

  4. Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with industry professionals, alumni, and local organizations to provide students with networking opportunities and real-world insights into technology careers.

  5. Budget Management: Manage the TSA chapter budget effectively, seeking funding opportunities and allocating resources wisely to support student activities and travel.

  6. Performs other duties as dictated by law or assigned by the building or district administration. 

Position: Part-time temporary, season-specific

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree

Certification: Missouri State Teaching Certificate

Compensation: Stipend

FLSA Status: Exempt, Professional Exemption-Teacher.
